At the Altar
Dearly Beloved,
Find the Altar of God within you – the Course says that only at the Altar of God will you find Peace, and that this Altar is in you because God put it there. The Throne of God is within your heart. Now take all of the wretched arrows that fickle fortune has sent your way and place them upon this Altar and bless them with forgiveness and release. You could have committed no “sins” that can withstand the forgiveness of which you are capable! You have no wounds that cannot be healed by this forgiveness, truly and fully applied. Nothing in a past life or present life has fatally damned you beyond redemption.
Visualize the Altar. Build an altar in your home with pictures and mementoes. Have a burning bowl there. Make a list of your judgments of yourself and take them to the altar one at a time, asking for Holy Spirit to remove these scars from your Soul as you gently place them into the fire without guilt or blame for yourself or others involved. Ask Him to remove the chains which bind you and help you to change your perception of yourself, to see that you are right now free of all “sins,” innocent, and wholly blessed in all ways.

Prayer
What you already have is all of the Peace, Love, Abundance, Harmony, and Joy that there is, so you need nothing from outside yourself. The only true prayer is the prayer to yourself asking to accept that which you already have! Your prayer to remove the blocks to the Love’s Presence within will result in healing your split mind; which will result in your letting go of ego attack thoughts, and removing fear, pain and guilt from your life. Accept the Atonement (At-one-ment) now. At the root of all your “problems” is the seeming separation from God. Actually, all of your “problems” have already been solved because you are not now, nor have you ever been separate from God. This illusion looks real, but that does not make it any less an illusion.
If you have a specific question, God, as A Course in Miracles says, does not hear words as such. He sees only His Beloved Child in whom He is well pleased. God’s Answer (from within you) will always be Love. There is only one Mind which is the Mind of God; that to which the right-mind is tuned, and with the Love within you as your uppermost emotion and God’s Knowledge base ever at hand. When connected to this Source, the answer to your question will be felt – as a hunch, a “coincidence,” a feeling, a picture, or sometimes in words. Maybe an Angel will be drawn to you with the answer or the thing you are seeking, or a gigantic Heavenly 2x4 will strike you on the head to get Its point across to you.
As long as you think that you are a separate entity, your Note will be missing from the Song of the Universe. All things are given unto you, and that is the Loving Presence of God. You need not seek to change the world, but to change your mind about the world. Seek only Love all around you – It is there. To the degree which you recognize this, this is the degree to which you will see it. The body but hinders your ability to truly see. The Blessings of God are with you now and for all time; be ye at peace!

Relax! You need do nothing but BE! Worry is not called for when you realize that God loves you, all is well, and that you are as God created you. You need not wonder, but be certain. You need not be sick, but perfectly whole and perfectly Holy. All that you need do is to let go of your judgments of yourself, the events of this world, the attachments to people, places, and things of this world. Christ is within you, around you, and through you. He will guide you as you allow it. All of your needs are met as you cease resisting and start being the observer, knowing that all things are for your best interests and accepting your good – knowing it is already with you NOW. Christ goes before you to make the path straight. He will love you regardless of your “sins” and wipe away your tears. You are the maker of a world of dreams, of nightmares, which frighten you as you make them real in your imagination. Your line of communication with God is open, and you can pray ceaselessly throughout the day without interrupting any of your affairs. The channel is open. Tune in! Let all your fears, disappointments, guilt, and anger go completely. The past is gone – it can haunt you no longer unless you wish; the future is up to you. You can constantly make the choice to be happy and at peace and at the same time relax and be vigilant for God and the Truth of God’s Presence in your life. Accept salvation now! Forgive, release, and relax!

As appropriate to upcoming Valentine's Day (Valentine's Day is when Peg and I got married six years ago) I was listening to a Marianne WIlliamson tape the other day. She was talking about love and friendship, saying that a rose represents the love in a relationship and the stem, without which the rose could not exist, was friendship. I want to expand that to include the roots, the ground, the sun, and the aroma of the flower.
The roots support the plant, bringing in nourishment and water. Suppose there are two flowers close together - a relationship. The roots are intertwined and represent trust - trust one for the other - and strength to withstand the floods of doubt that may burst upon the relationship from time to time. There is essentially only one set of roots that work together to support both plants!
The soil supplies the nourishment to the plant - to both partners. It provides water to carry the nourishment to the cells. The individual does not function well without love, joy, and truth. These are the ingredients upon which the relationship flourishes, joined with each other in a joint undertaking and enables them grow spiritiually.
The sun provides the light of understanding from God that helps put the love, joy, and truth in their proper perspective so that the couple can withstand the blows of ego which tries to tear down the whole structure.
Finally, the aroma is the essence of Love - Love, nourished, compounded and multiplied by compassion, given freely to all who pass by, making no judgments, having no agenda, it simply is there for all to enjoy.
Peg and I attended a lecture by Dr. Gary Schwartz the other day in Tucson. He was in the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?" He defined love as a) Listening, b) Observing, c) Valuing, and d) Empowering. We think that this is so very valuable in any relationship, and this is the beautiful aroma of our lives when we interact with others in this fashion.

The Course tells us to be vigilant for God and His kingdom. You are to be vigilant for God in the face of earthquakes, tsunamis, and whatever "tragedies" that befall the world, to see beyond the pain, the fear, and the seeming death to the Truth that lies beyond, through, and over this illusion. The trick is - to remember that the world and everything in it is not real - no matter how "real," "terrible," or even "wonderful" it appears. Hold to your faith in the Love of God, Who would never visit such things upon His Beloved Children. They are a mirror of the sum of the thoughts, judgments, and perceptions of all humankind. Since that which you fear most comes upon you, replace fear thoughts with loving thoughts, not believing the messages your eyes and ears give you. Rise up, above the battleground, as the Course calls it, and see Peace and Love, and no longer contribute to them.
This is a tough lesson, but it is made tough because all of us are so dependent on our eyes for information - but our eyes see only the illusion. This world is not real. You participate in all of these things on an unconscious level of mind. While you are in this world, follow your heart to do the things that you are called to do. Take care of your neighbor, the poor, the helpless, those in pain, but know at the same time that they are Children of God. Their "plight" is serving them in ways you can never judge.
In other words - do not feel worried about the world, do not be concerned about the things you see in the world to the point where you get carried away. Rise above the battleground and see what God sees. Only God can judge truly. Be ye in the world, but not of it!

To be Truly Helpful
The Truly Helpful prayer is below:
“You can do much on behalf of your own healing and that of others if, in a situation calling for help, you think of it this way:
I am here only to be truly helpful.
I am here to represent Him Who sent me.
I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do, because He Who sent me will direct me.
I am content to be wherever He wishes, knowing He goes there with me.
I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.” Text, pg 28
This prayer is very powerful as you go through your daily life. Repeat it whenever you enter a situation in which you feel fearful or unsure of your role. I will expand on it line by line.
“You can do much on behalf of your own healing and that of others if, in a situation calling for help, you think of it this way:” Healing is the healing of the split in your mind – the split between ego and Holy Spirit that keeps you from being totally dedicated and vigilant for God. Healing is wholeness, or holiness – above the illusions of the world, knowing your oneness with God throughout the drama and trauma of the illusions that the world presents, in all its forms.
“I am here only to be truly helpful.” Christ was truly helpful and compassionate despite the restrictions that the Jewish religious attempted to place upon him. He dealt with Samaritans who were despised by the Jews, women who were judged to be inferior to men, lepers who were called “unclean,” and gentiles, those who did not accept the Jewish religion at all. He taught nonjudgmental thought so thoroughly that the disciples espoused it after his death.
“I am here to represent Him Who sent me. I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do, because He Who sent me will direct me.” If you see yourself as a delegate for God, representing to the best of your ability all that is beautiful and holy, those who observe you, if they are ready, will try to emulate you. Worry is totally nonproductive and a terrible waste of effort and time. Christ tells us in the Course that Holy Spirit will guide us as we open our heart to that guidance. Certainty through faith is totally valid because Holy Spirit would not lead us astray. When we are depending on our own strength and guidance – then we have every right to be weak, worried, fearful, and insecure!
“I am content to be wherever He wishes, knowing He goes there with me.” Being content implies relaxing and releasing control – one of the most terrible possibilities that most people can face! This is in the same class as public speaking. When the body is tense and resisting, that is the time when our worst fears are realized. Go in assurance that Christ is there with you, holding your hand, and knowing that you can accomplish whatever task may be facing you. You aren’t asked to do more than that of which you are capable; there is nothing that you cannot do with Christ’s presence within you and Holy Spirit to guide you.
“I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.” Healing is something you do of yourself that affects all of humanity because we are all one Child of God. You teach healing and extend healing as you see the perfection of God in everyone and behind every situation. Practice this daily – judge nothing and forgive constantly. The person who seems to be attacking you, disturbing you, or irritating you is your best teacher because he/she is giving you an opportunity for seeing them as calling for Love (a miracle). Respond with Love. Don’t expect the person to change necessarily, though often that does happen. The miracle happens inside you and spreads like wildfire around the world; you are blessed as a result.

This Need Not Be!
When you find yourself sad, depressed, angry, in pain, fearful, feeling guilty, judgmental, know that these things need not be. Think again, look again at your motives, see behind your feelings to the fearful thoughts behind them. There are but two emotions – Love and fear – and all of the feelings that are not loving are in some way connected with fearful thoughts. You can become victim to these feelings and allow them to control you or you can take charge of your life, your thinking and your emotions and choose once again each time a fearful thought arises. I am not telling you that emotions are bad, but they can take over control to the point that you are unable to see clearly. You can monitor your thinking by being in the present and turning your fear thoughts into loving thoughts. This is the mind training that the Course workbook proposes to help you accomplish. Whenever you find yourself in pain to any extent, stop and refocus upon Spirit. God would have you be happy and joyful all the time!
Dear Ones,
I felt that this message needs to go out today, rather than waiting until Monday.
Choose strength over weakness. You are not a victim of the world you see! Choose once again when you find yourself looking outside of yourself for your good. You are the Master of your life. You get to decide. Whatever is happening to you is your unconscious choice - it has been drawn into your life because you are like a magnet. You are a magnet for love, peace, health, wealth, and joy to the extent that you dismiss thoughts of fear, anger, guilt, control, and resentment. Change your thinking and change your life. Live in the NOW moment, the perfect, precious moment of creativity, peace, joy, and love. That is the highest spiritual practice. This is praying ceaslessly while going through a day of work or play. When you find yourself living in the past or the future, choose once again and live in the NOW. That is where God is.
There are times in life when your body seems to be falling apart or when your financial issues are overwhelming, for example. The thing is - don't resist. Work with the doctor, work with whatever you need to in order to heal, but focus not on resentment and control. Release your body or your finances to Holy Spirit. Sometimes you just have to choose to be happy in the midst of the challenges of your life and when you choose to be happy, the hardships you are going through don't bring so much pain and you can heal. Healing is of the mind, not necessarily of the body or the affairs, anyway.

Dear Ones - the following is from an email - author unknown. Enjoy!
A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "how heavy is this glass of water?" Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g. The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it."
"If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. "In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."
He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on." "As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."
"So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can." "Relax; pick them up later after you've rested. Life is short. Enjoy it!
And then he shared some ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
1. Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.
2. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
3. Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
4. Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.
5. If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
6. If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
7. Never buy a car you can't push.
8. Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
9. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
10. Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
11. The second mouse gets the cheese (in a mousetrap).
12. When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
13. Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
14. You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
15. Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
16. We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

Dear ones, I have been thinking about loving self. Knowing that often your worst enemy is yourself, this is a most important subject. To love your self is to honor the God Who created you. Your self-talk tends to criticize and to tear down your self-esteem. Listen to your voice as talk to yourself as you go through your day. Listen to your conversation in your head. Is it the ego that is talking? You tend to go unconscious - living in the past or thinking about the future - going round and round, never being in the beautiful present moment. Practice living every precious moment of every day to the greatest extent that you can. When you hear a critical voice, say "Cancel, cancel!" or "Thank you for sharing" and dismiss it immediately. The ego's job is to separate you from God. Be kind to yourself every day this week by seeing yourself as God created you - beautiful, whole, and complete!

Take the time to reflect on Love - God's Love - true, unconditional Love, with no hooks, no expectations, no histories, etc. Not just for your "significant other," if you have one, but for ALL of humankind. Christmas is a more universal time of the expression of this Love. I love the way people smile and are especially kind to each other at that time of year. I believe that this focus is one that you can have each and every day - a loving and caring attitude for every one on the planet, blessing them in their attempts to seek happiness and love, no matter how weird and strange they might be (a sense of humor can be very helpful). Your deepest desire is to reach a deeper relationship with our Father - the ego twists this desire into some directions which are hard to understand, but your job is just to be the observer and not to be dragged down into judgment, sending your Love into all the world to the greatest extent possible.

In the ground and in the air,
I pledge my heart and pledge my mind
To learn and grow and then unwind
The mysteries of life on earth.

Yea, when you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death, pain, and taxes, fear no evil! God has given you a Comforter - the Holy Spirit. Give Him your troubles, your pain, your fears. Release to Him your problems and your troubled relationships. He will take them from you - but first you must completely relelase them. The shadow of death is simply a place where the Light of God is hidden - there is no death. You are Spirit and have eternal life!
Come to me, O fearful and troubled ones.
Come to me and let me soothe your fears.
Come to me with open hands and hearts,
Releasing to me your deepest fears.
There is no sickness that cannot be healed,
There is no "sinner" that cannot be saved from himself,
There is no madness that cannot be illuminatated,
There is no lack that cannot be fulfilled,
There is no darkness that cannot be lit.

Be ye born again! By this, I mean, give up your stories. Give up your history. Give up victimhood in any sense. Rise up to Who You Truly Are - a beautiful Child of God. God doesn't see your story, your history, your victimhood. Identify no longer with your stories, your history, your body or your pain. God only sees the Son whom He created. He could not create sin, because He is total love, peace, and joy, so sin is not real. If you are looking for healing, join with God in seeing your perfection, rather than your pain. Release your fear to the Holy Spirit and be ye healed. If you are looking for a soulmate, join with your Higher Self and become your own soulmate and your will attract someone who is dealing on a higher plane and with whom you can relate on that level. If you are obsessed with dark thoughts and despair, you are dealing with demons and devils. Become your own Priest and exorcise these by shining the Light of God upon them. The truth will obliterate them easily and quickly because they cannot maintain their lies in its face. If jobs or abundance is an issue with you, as you heal yourself and align yourself with Spirit, the job shows up or the money shows up. They will be drawn to you as the magnet you have become.

Dear Ones,
Unconditional love is that love that has no hooks, expectations, or manipulations. Loving someone unconditionally means that they need not behave in a certain way to earn your love. They do not have to fulfill your plans for themselves or for the relationship. They do not have to earn your love in any way, shape, or form because your love is given as the rose gives its beauty and scent - to everyone who passes, no matter what color, creed, or behavior they exhibit. If someone is abusive, you don't have to live with them, but you can still forgive and love them.
Do not select to give more of your love to one than another - love all equally, though you might choose to have a different type of relationship with one or more people. So go out there into the world and compete to give more love every day in every direction. Compete to feel more peaceful and joyful every day, every minute, every second.

Celebrate! Celebrate your life just the way it is, for it is perfect. You are power-filled - in alignment with Spirit you can create miracles. By changing your perception, you create miracles. All power and glory are yours RIGHT NOW. Claim it, BE it. Don't play small any more. You are a Child of God, in whom He is well pleased. God does not see your humanness, your failures. He sees only the perfect Child He created - perfect, whole, and complete. So let your judgments of yourself and others go. You are God also, Spirit in human form. Situations and conditions are fluid; by changing your perspective they can easily and effortlessly change. Constantly align with Spirit and step out on faith.
Look at your life right now. No matter what it looks like, you have out-pictured your consciousness upon it. You have drawn people, conditions, and situations to you. If the people, conditions, and situations don't serve you, start to raise your consciousness. How? Just by knowing that all of these things are illusions - the observer is the participant in the dream - you can change the dream by changing your mind about it. Focus upon Spirit...read spiritual material, go to spiritual classes, be still and be with God. Let Him guide you. Give your challenges over to Holy Spirit. Know that you can go through each day holding the Hand of Christ. The universe is on your side!! Step out on faith, knowing that all things are of God and you are blessed by His Love.

Dear Ones,
How many times each day, each week, each year, do you have the opportunity to feel unfairly treated? Did a car cut you off on the highway? Did you get a ticket for speeding? Did a tree fall on your house? Did a loved one do you wrong? Did your car fail to start? Did the taxman "rob" your pocket? Events such as these (and even more drastic and far-reaching events) give you the opportunity to learn, rather than to feel that the world is unfair.
The truth is that the world is unfair! It wasn't set up to treat everyone exactly the way that they wish. You must take the responsibility for your world and the way that your thoughts and actions reflect back upon yourself. You live in a world of mirrors and what goes around comes back around. The opportunity is for you to learn how to change your stinking thinking and change your world. Also, when the world does not do as you wish, you can learn to not react to the world. Your reactions compound the problem, so just relax, let go, and let God.
The world is too much with you, waking and sleeping. Stop and smell the roses! Take some time each day to be at peace, to be free of the world, to go inside and commune with God - not to tell Him what you want or what to do, but to let Him guide you and love you through it all.

How true! Love - God - is the deepest desire of all - that for which you are looking, and that with which you looking! Constantly search your heart. If you are not feeling loving, then you are in error and fear - choose once again. Look for love in those places where the ego tells you that love cannot be. Look for love when your world is falling apart. Look for love when it seems that only chaos, drama, and trauma are present. Look for love when you don't have the energy - closer than hands and feet. Deep within your judgments of yourself, your fears, and your circumstances, love is, and all is well. All is well because love cannot be lost - therefore you cannot be lost. Forgiveness is the message of the day. The other Sunday at our church in Scottsdale, we had a visiting speaker, a Sufi Muslim gentleman whose 20 year old only son had been killed by a 14 year old gang member. He described his wife's scream when she heard the news and described his own world as having been blown into a million pieces. The terrible consequences of this bullet had the potential to destroy at least four lives, the gang member, the son, the father and his wife and probably more. However, the father did some research to determine how many teenage children were killed and wounded each year in our country - and it is huge compared to other 1st world countries. He formed a foundation to reach teenagers at schools to help them stay out of gangs. He then located the grandfather of the 14 year old and tell him of this foundation and ask him for his help in the effort and his request was accepted. The two of them go around the country speaking to students about their story and the forgiveness that has taken place. He has forgiven the boy and his family. Their families have gotten together in love. He has interviewed the boy in prison and has written the governor to request a shortening of the boy's sentence.
And you think you have forgiveness issues? Sometimes maybe it just feels good to hold grudges, thinking you are punishing the "guilty bastard." Now is the time to search your heart for ALL the forgiveness issues from your past. Some of them may be hidden quite well. Some of them might seem so small and insignificant that they don't seem worth concerning yourself over. (Start a list and keep it with you as you go through a few days of reflection - you will be astonished how many you come up with) ALL of them are like daggers that are not in his/her back - but in your own! You aren't accomplishing anything with your irritations, anger, and hate - the person often is not even aware of how you feel or doesn't care how you feel. Give yourself a little while to feel your feelings, and then let them go. The anger and the hate are like poison in your system! Then be in the moment and practice forgiveness on a case-by-case basis. Let go as soon as you are aware of an issue - ask the Holy Spirit for help for the feelings don't serve you anymore.
As the Course says, "The holiest place on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love." You don't have to move in with the person after you have forgiven, just wish the highest and best for that person.
The rest of the story - the foundation (see http://tkf.org/ for more info) has reached over 350,000 teen agers with the message. How many lives have been blessed with the forgiveness that took place besides the immediate family? How will your life be blessed when you practice total love and forgiveness on a daily and retroactive basis?

It's An Inside Job - there is nothing outside of you
Probably you have heard these words before, maybe from yours truly. I need to emphasize them today.
You are the Source of your abundance. The abundance may originate from others, but it is created by yourself, through your consciousness. You provide the magnetic power that draws the abundance from known and unknown points of origin. If you seem to be surrounded by sharks in the form of debtors, remember that debtors cannot eat you. There are many ways of obtaining financial rearrangements. The debtors don't want to force you into a position where they won't get their money, so be nice to them and tell them your circumstances. Tell them how much you can pay and when; then follow through. Reverse paranoia is a useful thing - know that the universe is out to support you.
You are the Source of your health. The body is your vehicle on this plane of existence. There are a certain amount of DNA factors involved. The way the body is treated (or in many cases, mis-treated) is another factor. Actually, putting too much emphasis on the body is a focus on duality. Your body is perfect, just the way it is. If you are sick, align yourself with Spirit, see a physician or take medicine if it is called for, see a spiritual practitioner or a holistic practitioner, but know that you are the Source of your health. Ultimately, you can heal yourself. There is no disease that has not had a "miracle" healing of which I am familiar.
You are the Source of your circumstances. When things seem to be out of control, look again. What were the ways that you helped to make the situation possible? How does this situation serve you (what are the pay-offs)? You draw to you people and situations like a magnet. You have a built-in energy projector that says "I have buttons that need to be pushed." Someone will come to you who has the energy level that needs to push buttons (yours in particular) and does just exactly that. Another thing, there is no such thing as an accident. Somewhere along the line the energetic forces of the universe brought people and the necessary timing together to create an "accident" that serves all parties. There is a blessing behind the "accident." You may not see it for a long time, or never. Just know that it is there. This is a perfect universe you live in. Know that you are blessed in all circumstances.
You are the Source of your employment. Jobs seem to be a continuing challenge. If you are not currently employed, your perfect position is looking for you. The more distressed you become, the harder it will be for you to recognize that perfect job, even if it were sitting on your lap. Relax (see the above section on abundance). You might have to take two or three jobs while you are waiting for your job to show up. Your current employment, just like your circumstances, is serving you. If you don't like it, simply align yourself with Spirit and start looking for another position. Know that your perfect position is looking for you - where one door is closed, another one opens. Again, avoid stress and relax into the process.
You are the Source of your relationships. Relationships are the biggest learning experiences you can experience. You attract the persons who can teach you patience, or love, or trust, or whatever. The lessons can be painful if you resist them. I certainly don't recommend staying in an abusive situation, so if that is the case, get out immediately. I recommend staying in a relationship until your introspection tells you that you have learned the lessons that your partner is there to provide. You will know when that time comes; if you leave too early, the lessons are still there to be taught and the universe will simply provide another person who is similar to the one you left.
You are the Source of your addictions. All of us have addictions of one sort or another. The ego provides people, drugs, food, cigarettes, coffee, etc., to fulfill your need to separate yourself from God, as all of these things (and others) are simply ways to distract our attention from Spirit. Align with Spirit - take time to be still and listen to Spirit - to hear the sweet Voice of God from within you. Know that you are NOT a victim of the world or anything in it. You are a Creator. You are a Master. All that stuff you see out there is not real. Only Spirit - God - is real. You can overcome it, with help, if you need it. There are many, many, sources of help to which you can turn.

Dear Ones,
Beware of a sense of specialness. In A Course in Miracles, all of humankind are part of the Sonship, all essentially one Child of God. Specialness is the distinguishing of one from the other based upon physical, mental, or political differences. The ego delights in division! The ego would have us all be "special" and apart. God sees us all as His Perfect and Holy Children, in whom He is well pleased. He does not see the special characteristics that we have made in our lives, because He did not create them. Certainly there are differences between us - color, race, possessions, position in life, physical perfections or imperfections - but the idea of this message is to encourage you not to dwell on and focus upon the differences, but upon the samenesses. Spirit is alive in all - the President of the United States is no more special than the lowest criminal in prison. They simply have chosen different experiences in the illusion. The ego in you will tend to get very upset when you think of your special situation, whatever it may be, but love sees no specialness.
Any time you judge yourself to be above or below someone else, think again! Join with him/her in love and friendship (you don't have to move in together). So this week take the opportunity to look with different eyes on people far and near. Watch the news and see those on the TV with different eyes and hear them with different ears. Any time you judge you are giving a thorn (pain); when you unify you are giving a lily (love). Choose this week to give lilies to all - regardless of what your physical eyes tell you.

There are many in this world who are lost in the dark. There are many who are alone and lost in the dark, and many who suffer grievous pain, shame, and guilt. Are you one of these? Do you wish for hope but can find none? Do you seek for the light, but are blind? You are never alone and lost - you could not be alone and lost, for God is right there, closer than hands and feet. He is in front, behind, above, below, and on each side of you, holding your hands. You can turn your back on Him, but He will not turn His Back on you. Let Him guide you. When things seem the darkest, He brings the light if you would but open your eyes. When chaos fills the air, He brings his peace and offers it to you. There is no hope - only certainty. There is no darkness - only light. There is no chaos - only peace and love. Open your heart and mind and soul to accept your heritage - to accept who and what you truly are - the perfect, whole, complete, and loved Child of God. Cherish yourself and cherish the Spirit of God that is your life. Claim it, own it. intend this love into your constant awareness, for where there is love, all else must follow.

Dear Ones,
How many of you are dealing today with grievances? The Course says that your grievances hide the light of the world in you, but what are grievances? Grievances are attacks. Grievances are grudges. Grievances are resentments. Grievances are judgments. When you attack someone verbally (even sarcasm or humor can be attacks); when you hold a grudge, no matter how slight; when you resent someone, no matter what the reason; when you abuse someone (and these are all abuses), no matter how "little" a consequence it may carry, you are dealing with grievances. When you hold a grievance, you are there with a symbolic knife in your hand, pointed not at the one whom you are attacking, but at yourself! It's like you are wanting to poison someone, but the poison is going into your system - not theirs. The knife is entering your body - not theirs. The stress behind the total grievances being held is a slow poison that builds up to cause physical dis-eases in your body - cancer, heart problems, whatever. When someone cuts you off on the highway, when someone talks about you behind your back, when someone flirts with your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend, when someone doesn't do as you wish they would do, when you fail to live up to your own expectations, you are holding grievances. Some of these grievances may go back many years!
Make a list of your grievances - it make take several days for them to come to mind, and the list may be a lot longer than you think. When you look at the list, realize the need for forgiveness - for letting go of these grievances, no matter how small for your own sake, to heal your own body and mind. They don't serve you - you don't need them in your life. It isn't a matter of degree - you forgive completely or not at all. As you go through this process, you will begin to feel lighter and lighter, as though a weight were being lifted from your shoulders and your heart and you will become more and more peaceful. You will begin to let go of grievances as soon as you feel them, earlier and earlier, before the poison can take effect, and you will find a continuing joy in your life, an increasing love for others and yourself that you have never felt before.

There are many who fear death, despite the example that Christ gave us in his life. Here is a quote from A Course in Miracles - in the Song of Prayer addendum - that has given us great peace - not only for ourselves, but for those who have made the journey before us. I hope that it will bless you as well.
"This is what death should be; a quiet choice, made joyfully and with a sense of peace, because the body has been kindly used to help the Son of God along the way he goes to God. We thank the body, then, for all the service it has given us. But we are thankful too, the need is done to walk the world of limits, and to reach the Christ in hidden forms and clearly seen at most in lovely flashes. Now we can behold Him without blinders, in the light that we have earned to look upon again. We call it death, but it is liberty. It does not come in forms that seem to be thrust down in pain upon unwilling flesh, but as a gentle welcome to release. If there has been true healing, this can be the form in which death comes when it is time to rest a while from labor gladly done and gladly ended. Now we go in peace to freer air and gentler climate, where it is not hard to see the gifts we gave were saved for us. Were you born unlovable? How many babies are unlovable? No - you were born innocent and free! Your nature, your body, are the sums of your expectations and your reactions to experiences from your parents, siblings, kids at school, etc. The "sins" of the fathers and the grandfathers are indeed visited upon the children. As a child, you were like a sponge, soaking up the judgments, perceptions, and beliefs of those around you, and it is time to free yourself from those. Recognize your true nature as a Child of God - innocent and free. You go around looking for someone or something such as a teacher, a lecturer, a book, a class, or some other kind of torch that will restore to you your innocence, health, peace of mind, joy, love, and life. I am truly sorry, but you will never find anyone who can carry your torch but yourself. Looking outside of one's self is looking in the wrong direction, for you carry your own torch and only you can light it and begin to live again by dropping your history, the "story" that you have been telling yourself all of your life.
Others can point you in the direction of your torch, but only you can pick it up, light it, and bring healing, love, and peace. How do you do this? No one can do it for you - you must look deep inside, recognize the lies that you have been told and that you have been telling yourself - they have been keeping you in a prison with no bars. You are free RIGHT NOW! You are innocent RIGHT NOW. That is your nature and your inheritance from your creator. Claim it and BE it. Release all those things that no longer serve you - you don't need them anymore. When you change your thinking and your perceptions and your judgments, you are born again. Relax - you don't have to struggle and "try" to do this, just stay in the now moment as much of your day as possible, for in each now moment is a new beginning, a time in which the past is gone and forgotten and the future does not threaten you.
Only you can return the original love to your recognition by acknowledging who you truly are - each moment of each day. As you do this, you will find that "problems" either go away easily and quickly or happen less often and to a lesser extremity. You will find that you attract others who will support you in your new life. You will find that you do not attract others to push your buttons or knock the chip off your shoulder because you have removed the buttons and the chip. Stand in your strength, be power-filled, and you will be full-filled!

Dear Ones,
I have hinted a few times in these messages that YOU are the Source and now I am telling you that YOU are your SOURCE. Seek not outside yourself, as the Course says. Seek not outside yourself for a guide. There is a new energy, these are new times, and it is time to take responsibility for your own actions and your own guidance. Throw away the old energy teachings and the old energy books. Take responsibility for drawing that which you need to your front door, and that which comes to your front door will be appropriate to your level of consciousness.
The new energy is being brought in by people like yourself - people who are awakening to their true nature. It is enabling changes in our planet. It is changing old tendencies and prophecies. You are to be the teacher for those to come, and those who don't want to participate will leave the planet. Surely these will be chaotic times, for the resistance to these changes will be strong and from all directions. There may be more wars and struggles; look behind them to the eventual and positive outcomes.
Love is the answer to all things. Say "YES" to the new energy, to opening up to being responsible, to being a teacher. Say "YES" to Spirit as you glorify in the Love of Christ from within you.

Dear Family,
I want to talk today about healing. Healing is simply the process of becoming enlightened - of becoming more aware of the Light of Christ within you and around you. Healing happens when you notice how the old ways of fear and pain, things that used to work for you simply do not serve you anymore. Healing happens when you make a decision to be happy rather than to be right, to be at peace, rather than going to pieces. The process of healing involves a side effect - the ego revolts against it and the more peaceful you become, the more the ego throws at you to disturb your peace. The ego, however, is but a part of your mind which wishes to divide you from God; it's only power comes from your agreement with it. When you withdraw agreement, it whimpers away into a corner!
The practical side of healing is the release of negative energy that was stored in your mind and body during times of chaos. That energy gets released, and as it is released, it feels like chaotic symptoms are happening all over again; it certainly doesn't feel like healing!. You have to be patient as you heal and allow this release of energy rather than giving up and going back to the old ways/ It might take a while to realize that your life has changed in certain ways and to take encouragement from that; journaling helps to record your feelings during this process. for you can read back in the journal and see how your life has been healed. Support from groups like twelve step programs, Course in Miracles study groups, or a Mastermind Group is very valuable also.
Healing is what we are here for; enjoy your fear, pain, and chaos as long as you choose. Just remember that peace and love of God is always there for you and that Christ and the Holy Spirit are always there to hold your hand during the healing process.

When you are in chaos, confused, lost, in pain, and fearful, no matter to what large or small degree, you are lost to the truth of who you are. There is a voice calling you from out of the darkness, calling for you to arise, awake, and roll the stone away - the stone of ignorance, reluctance, and resistance, and open up to the light that is within you. No one else can do it for you, and the light is not outside of you. What is it you say? Why me? Why now? I had plans for my life! I had dreams of a business, a relationship, a healing! Wait awhile!
The time has come. You have to sacrifice nothing except your idea of who you are to the truth of who you are. You don't have to give up your life - you just have to listen to the Holy Spirit rather than the ego. You are already healed, whole, and perfect. Claim it! Be it! Turn your back on the cave, throw back the stone, and reclaim your power that you have given away for so long. You are an Angel, sleeping in the depths, hearing a tiny song, a song barely remembered from the day of your creation. It has been with you all this time, through many lifetimes, trying to come through. It is here. Now. Remember - it is so beautiful that could you but fully hear this voice and this song, you could never return to the darkness. There are no bars in the cave. There are no walls there, either. The bars and walls are illusions. See them for what they are and allow the Hand of Christ to clear your eyes and mind from the darkness. Arise and see. Arise and walk. Arise to live life fully and joyfully. Now!

Dearly Beloved - I am here today to speak of forgiveness. Remember that, according to the Course, that the holiest place on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love. Suppose that you have a brother or sister, for example, who has "done you wrong." How long are you willing to hold your grudge - to withhold your forgiveness and your love - to remove yourself from his/her presence? How does holding this grudge make you feel? Good? Badly? Do you think that you are punishing him/her by withholding your love?
How does your unforgiveness serve you? When you think about it, what actually happened? Is there any possibility that you participated in the event differently from the way that you remember? Were you permanently harmed? Was your life or body permanently disfigured? Are you a stronger person today because of this "abuse"? How long will you be justified to withhold your love? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? Until he/she dies? Remember the movie "What the Bleep?" what happened to the water when hate was involved? Since you are largely water, doesn't the hate in your heart affect your body similarly?
Just suppose there were another way of seeing this person - through a different portal, from a distance, from a different perception. Suppose that that person is not the same person today who did this horrible thing to you, and suppose that you are never to make this realization because you refused to be in the same room with him/her? What will you have missed?
I suggest that you are not punishing that person, that he/she is out there living his/her life, probably not thinking too much of you at all. He/she may have a deep yearning for you to forgive him/her, and a longing to ask for forgiveness, if only there were an opportunity. Think about it! might be a parent, an employer, a stranger, a cousin, whoever. The person may be deceased, but you can still forgive and let go of this terrible pain. You hold a grudge that is similar to a knife, aimed at the heart of someone else, but it in truth is aimed at yourself because there is no one outside of yourself. We are all one. Your forgiveness releases you from the prison that you have been in for years, but the bars are not really there - you can get out any time you want. Just forgive, let go. You don't even have to confront the person if you can't do that. The effect will be the same - he/she will know, and there will be love, and joy, and a deep, sense of peace.

Marianne WIlliamson often tells a story of a French painter - Matisse. Matisse was a great painter in Paris. When he reached his older years, he developed arthritis to a point where he couldn't hold his brushes and paint his beautiful creations. He had the opportunity at this point to blame God and give up his painting that he loved so much - it was his life! Many people would have done so. However, Matisse discovered that he could hold a child's scissors and make creations out of cutouts. He hadn't lost his creative ability. He hadn't lost his eye for beauty. He was able to create works of art so beautiful from his paper cutouts that his artistic creations with his paintbrush were acclaimed much more by the world than his previous paintings.
The moral of this story is obvious. When one door is closed, another is opened. It does no good to cry and to blame, and to gnash your teeth. Look for the blessings and the options and the possibilities that are open to you. To the caterpillar in his cocoon, it must look like his world is falling apart, that his body is turning to gelatin during the process of change, but look at how he turns out. There was a story on TV about a dog which was put into a gas chamber with a bunch of other dogs - they were excess at the pound. They turned on the gas and left the chamber for the requisite period of time and when they came back, one of the dogs was sitting on top of the other dead bodies, wagging his tail! Miracles happen!!!

There are all kinds of rumors and stories going around concerning conspiracies by the government or high-placed groups that would limit your freedom or make you more pliable to their control. Remember in these and other seemingly fearful things that your safety (and freedom) comes from you - in your defenselessness your safety lies, as the Course says. Put up no barriers that would invite attack.
These rumors are based on fear, and this fear breeds disease. Fear invites attack, while love attracts only love, beauty, and appreciation. In your deepest parts, your innocence shines like a star, shining and twinkling, bright and clear. No one and nothing can truly attack it. This doesn't mean that you should deliberately flaunt the universe, though - don't go out, daring attack, for you will find it for sure! For example, lock your doors - not to prevent intrusion - but to prevent temptation.
Be secure within yourself. Be at peace regardless of the madness of the world.

The above quote is a highly romantic and exceedingly poetic way of describing work done well, yet very true. Work is something for which many of you are looking. Work is something which many of you are resisting. Work is something that many of you do quite well, but without joy. Work is often seen as a "have-to" in this world of doing. Look at work this way, however, that you are in the perfect place at all times! You might be in the place for your own growth, or to be the light, or for someone else's growth.
You cannot judge why you are there, but you can do whatever work is assigned to you to the very best of your ability, finding joy from within yourself and appreciation for yourself through work done well. When work is performed with enthusiasm, love, and joy, it changes the atmosphere of the workplace. It changes the attitude of the supervisor and the coworkers towards you. If you are being abused in a position, staying is not recommended. When your purpose there is complete, the job will be complete and another will be waiting for you. You will know from within yourself the completion. Go without fear to the next. You might even change your mind and find a position within the company that suits you more appropriately, with more money and a step up the corporate ladder.

I Hope You Dance – from email - weekly
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will
is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G", I thought of God,
followed by "u" and "i".
"God", "u" and "i" dance.
God, you and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and every day. May you abide in God as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life.

My Heart is beating in the Peace of God Weekly

You exist in a ocean of prevailing thought which says to you constantly that you are sinners, that you must bow down to the forces of commercialism, fear, and depression that seem to weigh you down. I know that I have looked at the world from time to time and wondered if we in the New Thought movement are not outnumbered; attack thoughts of all kinds – from war, to poverty, to lack, to disease – seem to be winning. At such times I feel small, alone, and fearful. However, I soon realize that I am not alone. The Holy Spirit and God are with me. All of my students and teachers are with me as we join as one and refuse to react to the drama and trauma around us. I know then that I am not small and alone, but one with God and power-filled. I further believe that in this movement you are, in your loving thoughts and hearts, undermining the seemingly prevailing thought system. That fearful thought system will not succeed! We are growing in number and vitality in our loving presence. As the Berlin Wall fell down, the negative structures on this planet will come tumbling down. When the wall fell, it seemed like a miracle, but it fell because the thinking of the world did not support it anymore. We didn’t have to do anything physically! The wall was undermined and fell of its own weight and darkness.
Close your eyes and visualize your Love expanding around the world and bringing light to the darkness, and as before a powerful searchlight, the darkness will disappear. Let your heart beat in the Peace of God as you send out your Peace to join with others as you remove judgment, fear, and guilt from your mind. Hide not your light under a basket; let it shine as you heal yourself and all of your brothers. Go forth now and celebrate your life – the Life of God within you.

My friend Tobias, who is an entity channeled by Geof Hoppe on the Crimson Circle website, http://crimsoncircle.com/home.htm, tells us that our divinity is in our darkness. I know that is a little hard to take, but he puts forth a convincing argument on its behalf. Our divinity has taken, out of its love for us, all the negativity that we have put towards the darkness. Marianne Williamson tells us in A Gift of Change, that “…the darkness is an invitation to the light, calling forth the spirit in all of us.” How many of you are, or have been, seriously surrounded by the seeming darkest of darkness? Now, imagine the caterpillar in its cocoon, its body having been liquefied and totally in its darkness, trembling and afraid. It doesn’t have any idea of what is ahead. The darkness seems to last forever, and the fear becomes even stronger. Then, suddenly a very, very dim light – the light of understanding, becomes evident, and in that light the shadow of wings appears. As the light grows stronger, the body takes form and is strong, with the wings getting even clearer. As the new creature breaks out of its cocoon, a whole new world is there for it. It is wearing a crown, a queen of all it surveys. Its possibilities are endless and its fear and trembling is behind it now.
Take this metaphor for yourself when you feel that you are in darkness; that darkness is an opportunity to grow stronger, to emerge into the light with your Angel wings beating, and your crown upon your head – a whole new universe ahead of you and endless possibilities in every choice you face. You have come face to face with your divinity, and are ready to love yourself completely and teach love wherever you go, helping to heal the world.
From the Course - "Beyond the body, beyond the sun and stars, past everything you see and yet somehow familiar, is an arc of golden light that stretches as you look into a great and shining circle. And all the circle fills with light before your eyes. The edges of the circle disappear, and what is in it is no longer contained at all. The light expands and covers everything, extending to infinity forever shining and with no break or limit anywhere. Within it everything is joined in perfect continuity. Peace in the World - wkly
There are many in the world that pray for peace, that parade for peace, and give of their time and strength to achieve this goal. I hate to disillusion them, but this world is an illusion; it is not real. It does not exist. It is an object of great attraction and yet at the same time an object of great misery. Happiness cannot be found in this world. Peace cannot be found in this world. By looking at the “treasures” of the world for fulfillment, you are looking at nothing. All things in this world are of the ego and as such are doomed to disappoint you who search for Love in them. Love, Joy, Peace, and happiness are found within you. All these things must start with you. You cannot rely on anything or anyone or any place to provide them to you. The ego would lead you around by the nose in an endless search for anything that does not originate within you. What you “treasure” is simply an idol that you have placed between yourself and God. The ego encourages you to chase after the shiny things, the “smell-good” things, the expensive toys, houses, and other such things; you know what I am talking about. They are on TV, billboards, and radio; everywhere you go are temptations.
Call upon the strength of Christ to help you rise above them. Seek not outside yourself! This is a major axiom of the Course that is repeated over and over. Seek not outside yourself; neither here nor there will you find God while your search is limited to the duality of this world. Ask the Holy Spirit for His help and guidance in finding a new perception of your “needs” and “treasures.” Give up your need for physical things, and seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and all these things will be given unto you. They will not be so important though, because your focus will be on Spirit.

Dear Blessed Ones,
Heaven is here, Heaven is now. There is no other place, there is no other time. All of creation beckons you to experience this time, this place, to let go of old ways of thinking, to let yourself be united with Spirit. You are one with the Omniverse, with the All. You are a Creator, awesome, radiant, and glorious to behold. All of Heaven bows to you and places flowers below your feet. See the greater oneness of All That Is - everywhere you look, everywhere you go. Behold God in all, through all, everywhere present. Let the illusions of this world fail to distract you from your quest to return to Him. Illusions no longer have power over you; you are free!
The "treasures" of this world are insignificant; they pall when compared to His Glory and Truth. Take off the masks and forget the games that children play, for you are beyond them now. You have risen from your grave and are renewed, revitalized, and born again in Spirit. Drop your worries and concerns for you are above them. Above all, just relax, for you don't have to do anything. There is no busyness required. Just be.

A Vision Above = weekly
Dearly Beloved,
In these times of chaos, horror, and travesties on many levels in the world, we need to develop X-ray vision - a vision above, beyond, through, or around the seeming physical "reality." It is so easy to get caught up in the media portrayal of what is going on there, and I assure you that this world is, as A Course in Miracles says, still an illusion. Rise above the battleground to the Higher Truth. Rise above the battleground to the Peace and Glory and Harmony that God created. Rise above the battleground, the floods, the destruction, to see the Blessing inherent behind them. These are tough times, and you are not serving the people who are so in pain by getting down in the dirty water with them, thus reinforcing the illusion.
Yes, there are people dying, there are people sick and in pain, lost, dirty, and hungry. Send them your Love; hold for them the possibility that they will be better in the long run after all of this is finished. Send money or supplies, if you wish to help, but don't get together and hold a "pity party" for all that seems to be going on. You cannot judge; only God can judge. Only God knows the whole Truth, the whole picture. Our hearts go out to them, but hold fast to the Higher Vision! I claim a perfect Universe, a Universe in which everything fits together, where there are no accidents, and where all is perfect, whole, and complete.
This is another very tough lesson; but so be it.

A Prayer of Acceptance - weekly
Mother, Father God
My prayer is that I become more and more aware of my Sonship to You, that I accept, not just in my head, but in my total awareness, my greatness and my holiness. I pray that I find the strength to become instantly alert to all judgments and unforgiving thoughts, and that I practice true forgiveness of all my brothers and especially of myself. I would allow the Presence of Christ-awareness to be ever uppermost in my life of the true nature of all creation. Dropping all pretenses, fears, and jealousies, I pray that I may know that my will is one with Your Will, that there is nothing that I cannot do, and that I am the light of the world in truth. I further pray that I might begin to release this world and live more and more in heaven, holding Your Hand, trusting Your Plan for me, risking all that this world holds for the greater Glory of Love.

I Make the Decision to be Happy - Wkly
Dearly Beloved Angels of Light,
Let my words that follow be your words from your heart.
I make the decision to be happy right now. I rise above my perceived conditions of the world, of how the world is treating me, of how the world should be, and make that decision. I know that right here, right now, I am enough, I am sufficient. I am a divine Child of God, who has risen above the weaknesses of the body to find the strength of the Spirit. There is nothing that can bind me or than can weaken me. I realize my oneness with the entire universe. There is nothing that can hold me back - not my past, not my “weaknesses”, not my “conditions”, and not my excuses. I choose inner peace. I choose Heaven over hell. I choose Life over death. I choose happiness over sorrow. I know that happiness does not mean weakness or ignorance of the “reality” of the world. It does not mean that I let people walk all over me. I make my work my ministry. I walk forthright and upright, letting my light shine to the world. I see the eyes of Christ in everyone I meet. I communicate with God through every moment of every day. I act with integrity. I know that my challenges, my issues, my sorrow and pain, are but pointers to show me my dark side, the places on which I do not allow the Light to shine. I experience joy, love, peace, and endless bliss. I take the time to meditate and be open to receive communication from my Higher Self. I ask and receive the answers. I again make the decision to be happy, and that happiness erases my fears; I rise above the world to see that greater design of Life in me, through me, and around me. There is nothing to fear when I hold the hand of Christ. I know that I am forgiven and I release the imagined fetters that held me bound, NOW! I forgive and receive endless blessings in return. I love and know that I am loved. I give and allow the universe to return to me in boundless ways. I AM! I AM! I AM!

Infinite Possibilities Weekly
Dearly Beloved,
You exist in an ocean of infinite possibilities, but are you like the fish which is looking for water, while completely immersed in water? You are surrounded by love, peace, joy, opulence, knowledge, wisdom, and happiness right now. They do not only surround you, but also fill you to the brim. You do not have to seek to find them – you are what they are. You do not have to pray to God for them – you are God in expression. You are a spiritual being in physical form. You inhabit a vehicle, but you are not the vehicle. You are a miracle of perfect life, as God created you and you do not need improvement.
Seek ye not outside yourself. You do not have to get anything. Nothing outside yourself can make you happy or make you more complete than you are right now. You can choose happiness whether or not you have that big screen TV in your TV room or that new car in your driveway. You can choose happiness in the midst of an emergency visit to the hospital or when a friend/relative leaves you or is seriously ill. Yes, there will be a time of mourning. That is a healthy thing, but underneath the joy ever abides and can never leave.

Nothing to Fear Weekly
Dearly Beloved,
Thou hast nothing to fear! God is with you, around you, within you, above and below you. There is nothing of (spiritual) value that you can lose; therefore you need not fear loss. People can attack, disappointments can occur, people can leave or die, pets can leave or die, sickness can visit your front door, but you are above them. Do not buy into them. Your Spirit cannot be attacked, cannot be lost, and cannot be sick. Fear takes many forms but they all stem from the concept of separation from God. Christ did not die; his crystal clear awareness lives in your heart and he holds your hand. When human disappointments come your way, no matter how serious they may appear, go within to that place of safety, comfort, and Presence of God.
Your expectations, your judgments, your fears, and your attachments are keeping you in fear and pain. Very often you tend to form a sort of comfort zone in that place of fear and pain because you don’t want to risk stepping out on the limb. If you were to be so bold as to let them go, you would be giving up your excuses for not experiencing your True Nature as a Child of God. Your ego has sold you on your smallness. Your greatest fear is the possibility of seeing how great you are that you have fought so hard over lifetimes to keep hidden. What will happen when you forgive (release) them and let them go? You become free and light. You feel the Love of God so strong, shining like the Sun into every cell of your body. You will sing with the Angels, and you will fly.

Clean out the Residue - weekly
Dearly Beloved,
The life that you have today is a collection of the residue from your past. Like a mirror covered with grime, soot and dust, your purity and innocence have been hidden from you and from all around you. Your peace of mind is buried under a layer that is an illusion – it is not even there. When you take the time to face your past and know that it is gone – absolutely and irrevocably gone – you will know that you need never be affected by it again. It has no place in your life except as history and as a guideline. Your future is not affected by your past unless you choose it to be. How far can you get when you attempt to drive an automobile forward while looking in the rear view mirror? Miracles occur when you choose to allow them! Your Spirit does not know depression or anger; it is something foreign that you have imposed upon yourself. Let it go, let it go. Let it go - now! You don’t deserve that kind of punishment. Live a new life, a life turned into a new station, a life renewed and reinvigorated.

Lighten Up!- weekly
When the world seems so heavy and your burdens so cumbersome, when your heart is broken and your sadness fills your Soul, when the problems of the world surround you and darken the skies, LIGHTEN UP! Don’t take the world so seriously! Oh, I know that it is easy to say but maybe not so easy to do when you are in the midst of all that “stuff,” but I know that you are bigger than your burdens; you are bigger than your sadness and you are bigger than your problems. Don’t play small. You demean the God Who created you when you play small and weak. Stand straight and tall. Look at what is facing you honestly and deal with it as best you can calmly and with a sense of humor. Rise above the turmoil, drama, and trauma of this illusionary world. See yourself with a sense of humor and love. See your “attacker” as a Child of God who has forgotten Who He is. See your world with a different perception – from the point of view of God, Who doesn’t see evil, attack, war, trauma, and drama – He didn’t create it. He sees only the Love that He created. He sees all of His Children as His Beloved Sons in whom He is well pleased. Just relax and ask Holy Spirit for help with your problems and in changing your perception. He is there to help you.
You are meant to be in the world, to deal with such things as earning a living and dealing with relationships, but you are not meant to be of it, so don’t get dragged down in the morass of the insanity of this world. You can’t heal yourself and you can’t help to heal the world when on the same level; see above, around, and through the physical world to the Love of God that is all that there is everywhere, in every situation, in every person, place and thing, to the perfection of the universe that God created.

Fulfilling your desires
Dearly Beloved Ones,
Many are unhappy and unfulfilled in this world. Does this apply to you? Fulfilling your desires is possible when your desires are aligned with Spirit. When you believe that you live in a friendly universe and that it is not out to "get" you, you find yourself meeting the people, having "luck". Circumstances seem to move in your direction to fulfill your desires. You must, as the saying goes, co-create with Spirit in order to participate in this fulfillment. You must align your thoughts, feelings and actions to move in the direction of that fulfillment. You must be aware every moment of every day of any thought, feeling or action that does not move in that direction and abolish it from your beingness. You cannot, for example, have abundance when deeply inside yourself believe that you don't deserve it, or that you are not talented enough in certain directions to have it, or that you are too old, too young, too poor, or too whatever to have it come into your life. We are often accused of being overly positive - the Pollyanna symptom - but the idea of abolishing thoughts, feelings, and actions that are in direct conflict with your Spirit-aligned desires requires that you be positive and expect miracles. You must change your perception of people, events, and things around you to see the perfection of the universe and all that is in it. The obstacles that you may encounter along the path to fulfilling your desire(s) simply serve to focus you to strengthen your intention to having or being that which you desire. So when the sky is falling, you take the opportunity to make lemonade out of the lemons that are hitting you on the head or that are tripping you. When the rain is falling on your parade, see in your mind the flowers and trees and all things on this earth that benefit from the rain.
In this Christmas and New Year Season you have an opportunity once again to make Christ the focus of your existence. You have the opportunity to celebrate YOU, all that you are and all that you are not. Come out of the ego closet. Break the bonds of limitation that the ego within you has placed upon you. Ask Holy Spirit for help to see things differently. Allow your desires to drive you to a new life in all phases of your daily living. Love yourself. Forgive yourself. Now.

An Idea Whose Time Has Come -wkly
There is nothing so powerful as an idea whose time has come! This from Wayne Dyer in his program entitled Inspiration on PBS. Dr. Ernest Holmes of Science of Mind so often said “thoughts are things.” A Course in Miracles says that you are an idea in the Mind of God. When a powerful idea comes to you – whenever it comes to you, however it comes to you, you will know when it pops into your mind that you have been selected. You have been selected to bring that idea into physical manifestation or mental manifestation, as the case may be. The idea will be world changing, because your universe will be completely altered as a result. You will be drawn, maybe dragging your feet, into a creation that you formerly thought was totally beyond you. The process, as you surrender to Spirit, takes on a life of its own, drawing people, materials, and money unto itself. Unexpected little coincidences take place in perfect timing to move it along its inexorable way. You become as a mother, watching this miracle take form through your Love. The birth may be somewhat painful, but the pain is lessened by the joy of fulfillment, and the miracle grows, and grows, and grows, spreading to others and bringing them to a greater understanding of beauty and growth.
The idea may come to you concerning a “problem” you have in your life – that you can take dominion over your life, that the mountain that you call a “problem” is simply a wrinkle in the fabric of personality and ego, that it is not a mountain, but a simple matter of changing your perception of it. As you take dominion, Christ comes in to hold your hand and help you to get over the tough spots. It is not a matter of someone else changing, but you look with new eyes and open heart, casting Love and Spiritual Insight upon others and the challenges that you face. There is no mountain that you and Christ together cannot climb.
Open yourself to ideas. Open your mind and your heart and your Soul to God’s Holy Spirit within you as it speaks in that small, still voice. Be still and know that you are one with Spirit, a Teacher of God, and a blessing unto the world

Dear Ones,
Visualize a rock, a large slab of rock that blocks the entrance to a cave. Behind the slab, in the darkness, are those parts of yourself that you have hidden. What are they? Your strength? The key to your perfect job? Your happiness? Your courage? Your ability to love? Your power? Whatever is hidden behind that rock, whatever part of you that your ego has told you that you are not good enough to have, is available to you right now. What will it take for you to roll the rock away? What fears do you have to conquer to remove it? Do you truly want to live and live fully alive, or are you comfortable with where you are? How much pain will it take to get you to the point where you move the rock? No one else is going to move it for you – no preacher, no friend, no psychologist, no guru - has the power to do that. Oh, you can say that you don’t know how or you can say that it is too hard. Your excuses are invalidating you; they are keeping you from your happiness and your completion.
Make the decision now to be born again – born to a new life. Turn away from the old and picture yourself in a fetal position, wrapped in a shroud, starting to move. As you stand up, the shroud of excuses, of your past, of your weaknesses, of the ego thought system, slips away, leaving you naked and vulnerable. As it falls, you feel the Christ strength within you immediately rise up to tell you that you are safe and loved. You feel that strength tell you that you are worthy to have these parts of you that are behind the rock. You know that those things behind the rock belong to you. You stand even taller as you rise above the things of this world to be the spiritual master that you are, as you command, from the Lord God of your Being that the rock be moved. The Angels quickly roll the rock away and you are reunited with those beloved parts of yourself that you have been missing for so long. You are resurrected. You have arisen from your grave; you are free from the torments of hell and you are fully alive.

Dearly Beloved Masters,
Open you heart! Open your heart to be willing to forgive yourself, to forgive past “sins” and failures. Open your heart to be willing to let go of your grievances, no matter how “justified” they seem to you. Open your heart to forgive your fellow human who has "done you wrong." Open your heart to your spiritual strength through the Christ in you that “greater things than these shall you do.” You who are locked in to the dualistic world can rise as on wings to a higher plane, a higher self, one whose chains have been dissolved by the Love of Christ in you. You are free to forgive, free to let go, and free to be able to access God directly – you are His Beloved Son, in whom He is well pleased!
Every day, in every way, you make choices – without thinking, without considering the consequences of your choices to yourself. The “small” choices that seem so insignificant compound into a conglomerate of terrible pain. All that you give is given to yourself, whether it be attack thoughts or judgments of others and the world. They bounce back to you as from a mirror and once more you find pain. All of your pain, all of your burdens can be put aside in an instant when you completely and without reservation truly open your heart.

We were listening to Joel Osteen on Tv this morning and thought we would pass his message along to you. Be a miracle to someone every day! Pass along your Love in some form today. It doesn't have to be money; it could be your time to help in some way . Just a loving thought or or kind words, even. Be thoughtful and considerate of others as you come and go in your busy world. Look for wome way to give to others - not expecting to be paid back. Know that as you give, so shall you receive; give for the joy that it brings you, not so that you can get back or even benefit - other than spiritually. How much Joy you will lexperience as you spread your Love to all. Youwill indeed be blessed.

From the Course - "It is not the function of God's teachers to evaluate the outcome of their gifts. It is merely their function to give them. Once they have done that they have also given the outcome, for that is part of the gift. No one can give if he is concerned with the result of giving. That is a limitation on the giving itself, and neither the giver nor the receiver would have the gift. Trust is an essential part of giving; in fact, it is the part that makes sharing possible, the part that guarantees the giver will not lose, but only gain. Who gives a gift and then remains with it, to be sure it is used as the giver deems appropriate? Such is not giving but imprisoning.
It is the relinquishing of all concern about the gift that makes it truly given. And it is trust that makes true giving possible. Healing is the change of mind that the Holy Spirit in the patient's mind is seeking for him. And it is the Holy Spirit in the mind of the giver Who gives the gift to him. How can it be lost? How can it be ineffectual? How can it be wasted? God's treasure house can never be empty. And if one gift is missing, it would not be full. Yet is its fullness guaranteed by God. What concern, then, can a teacher of God have about what becomes of his gifts? Given by God to God, who in this holy exchange can receive less than everything?

Happiness is a decision you can make
• whenever your situation seems bleak and drear.
• whenever all seems lost and hopeless
• whenever your bank account seems to be lacking
• whenever negativity and darkness seems to surround you
• whenever friends seem to leave
• whenever loved ones leave or pass on to another dimension
• whenever disappointment comes your way
• whenever things are lost, destroyed or stolen
• whenever failure seems to find your door
• whenever evil, death, or despair seems to be near.
• whenever your battery goes low or your tires go flat
• whenever someone cuts you off on the freeway
• whenver you feel unfairly treated
• whenever you feel disrespected.
• whenever sickness seems to attack your body
Relax and do not resist these things.
Relax and know the of Who You Are in God's eyes, heart, and mind.
Relax and accept your Good despite these seeming "realities." God beyond them to the Reality of God Within.
Relax and choose once again; choose the higher ground; choose Love instead of fear; choose Love instead of weakness.
Choose Heaven instead of hell.
Choose Love and Peace rather than hatred and devastation.
Relax and see the Real World in which God's Beautiful Light shines forth.
Relax and let that Beautiful Love Light shine forth from within your heart as you see the face of Christ in everyone you meet, and the presence of Christ in everything and everyplace.
The mystical, magical Truth of this is - Happiness is already yours! You don't have to go out and find it! Just allow your awareness of It's Presence to fill your heart and soul. Open your mind to it in spite of the never ending ego and the physicality of this world; ee the Real World in its place.
You are filled with loving kindness.
You are well.
You are blessed beyond all seeming darkness in all things.
You are Beautiful; you are a Beautiful Child of God in whom He is well pleased.
You are Loved, Lovable, and Loving; your Love blesses the world

There is another way of looking at the world – I could see Peace instead of this.
ACIM lessons 33 and 34
Are you are immersed in the surface value of things, events, and people? Do you seem to be controlled by events and experiences that seem outside your control? Shift your perception purposely to see the underlying depths of God’s Love for you, to see the Real World instead of the ego’s insane world, a world of war, violence, and death. Seek to find God’s Omnipresent Being in, through, and beyond all that your physical eyes perceive. Seek to find the Truth of All That Is with your non-physical eyes. You could see Peace instead of this chaos; the beauty of this world but ties you to its duality and the lies of the ego. The real Beauty is found through the Peace of God that surpasses all understanding – in your heart. You can find Peace in the most mundane things – a rock, a chair – and in all experiences that you have if you but look for it, not get caught up in the shallowness, and not react. Be the observer; leave a little separation from that which you see in order to leave a moment to see the Presence of God within it.

My grievances hide the Light of the world in me.
ACIM lesson 69
What are grievances? When you hold something against someone else – spouse, child, pet, car, home, boss, job, God, etc. When you blame someone else for their “sins” against you, you are withholding your light from yourself and from the world. You cannot conceal your grievances because all of humankind is of one Mind – we are all One under God, made in His image and likeness. Your attack thoughts toward your fellow traveler upon this planet behave like a sword that is swung against your neighbor and actually hits yourself – because you and your neighbor, again, are One – one Spirit, one Life, and the Life of God. The healing of your mind is directly the result of your releasing your attack thoughts and grievances towards anyone at all. Practice the immediate forgiveness of anyone who seemingly wrongs you in any way.
“My grievances hide the light of the world in me. I cannot see what I have hidden. Yet I want to let it be revealed to, for my salvation and the salvation of the world.”

The Light has come.
ACIM lesson75
The Light has come – It is here, now. It is above, below, to your left right, in front and behind, and inside of you. In A Course in Miracles, Light is understanding. When it says that the Light has come, it means that your understanding of the Truth of Who You Are is with you. The Truth is True – that which came from God is always of God. You cannot give away your birthright. You are healed. You are at Peace. You bring healing and Peace with you wherever you go.
Of course, there is a caveat with this. You must clear away the cobwebs that keep you from seeing, really seeing, the Light. You cannot see the Light unless you deeply desire to do so. You cannot see the Light while you are immersed in the duality of this insane and chaotic world. You cannot see the Light if you don’t want to see it.
So obviously you have a choice to make. You can stay in pain, anger, and fear or you can be at Peace. You can search all over the world for happiness but cannot see it is in you right now. You can have all the money and things of this world and be totally lost in the darkness. The good news is that you can try to change and if you errantly choose fear once more, you can choose differently the next time. When you change, however, you go against the thinking of the world totally. Things may begin to look like they are falling apart, but this is temporary. Keep on choosing Love, Peace, and Joy, focusing on Spirit within and without you always.

I am entitled to miracles.
ACIM lesson 77
You are entitled to miracles. For those of you not familiar with A Course in Miracles, a miracle is a change in perception. It may not have any reflection in the world, but mostly in the way you see the world. The miracle is only meaningful upon this earthly plane because at the highest level, miracles are not necessary – everything is a miracle. When you see your fellow worker or your spouse or your neighbor in a different light – when you are able to “walk a mile in his shoes” you will most likely find that the experience that he/she offered you was in your best interests. They were showing you a place in your psyche where you needed healing. Bless them!! They are your greatest teachers. If not for them, you could have gone for lifetimes before seeing where you have to take responsibility for your reactions to the world around you and find the “dark” places. within you that needed the Light.

ACIM Lessons 93 & 94
Most people have certain judgments of themselves that are based upon, for example, what they think their appearance is lacking, what their parents, their siblings, their ex-spouse, their playmates, or their employer have told them. Is this challenge for you? These people did not recognize Who You Are – the Child of God. They saw only what they wanted to see, which had nothing to do in reference to you – it had mostly to do with them. Light and Joy and Peace abide in you – right now and always, in the past and in the future. They were God’s Gift to you at your creation. You have not and cannot change this. The problem is that you constantly confirm your self-judgment and self-hatred with your inner conversations. You probably tend to crucify yourself over and over in your mind unless you spend your day in awareness and correction of your thinking and self-criticisms. Start and end each day with the recognition that Light- and Peace and Joy abide in you; contact this in your heart and carry it with you throughout the day. Love yourself – you have made mistakes, but you have never “sinned.”

ACIM Lesson 97
“Spirit am I, a holy Son of God, Free of all limits, safe and healed and whole, free to forgive and free to save the world.”
You are NOT your body. You have related to the body from before you were born. All of your early education revolved around the body, but you are not your body. You are the Life and Love of God in physical expression on this planet. In Truth, you extend far beyond this earthly plane for you are eternal. Now this is totally against the thinking of this world which tells you that your existence begins and ends with your skin. Some will talk about eternal life, but seldom will you hear about eternity in the present moment. Your ego would have you believe that you are smaller than the smallest stone, but God would raise you up to the Heavens. Join with Him and spend your days and nights in the sure Knowledge that you are Spirit, free and filled with Joy and Peace.

God’s Will for me is perfect happiness.
ACIM Lesson 101
“God’s Will for me is perfect happiness.
There is no sin, it has no consequence.”
Just sit back and relax. God wants for you perfect happiness. God does not demand from you anything. You have you own individual will, with which you can choose or refuse your perfect happiness. Perfect happiness would be allowing God to move in your heart each minute of each day, removing the thorns of judgment, pain, and fear. Happiness would be asking for guidance from Holy Spirit and joining with Him in the Will of God for you. Happiness would be expressed in seeing the highest in yourself and all that you meet. It would be seeing the Peace of God behind every experience that you draw to yourself. It would be seeing Peace where there seems to be war and quiet where there seems to be chaos. Be happy! You deserve it!!!

Can You Feel the Love?
“You can love only as God loves. Seek not to love unlike Him, for there is no love apart from His. Until you recognize that this is true, you will have no idea what love is like.”

Can you feel the Love right now? Can you take the time to stop in your busy day or night to feel the Love of God that is what you are? Can you put aside the worries, fears, judgments and angry thoughts that so seem to possess you at times to be still and listen, feeling for That Presence that is nearer than hands and feet? I know that you possess this capability, but can you find the deep desire, the deep need for feeling down to the root of your Soul? The answer is “Yes!” The Answer is Love! The Answer is always Love! That is the only answer to any question. The busyness of the day pales in comparison to the Joy that is available to you and the Peace that is yours at all times. The insanity of this world disappears in the Light of your Being as you recognize your deepest Truth.
