The author of four books, Bud started his spiritual studies as the direct result of a transformational weekend in a workshop called ‘Lifespring’ back in 1982. His new world view led him to seek out the Church of Religious Science where he found like minds and a community that lived life the way the way he felt it should be lived. Bud has been attending Religious Science and other metaphphysical churches ever since.

He started his study of A Course in Miracles just a few years later and is dedicated to the teaching of The Course and deepening his own spiritual understanding of a life lived in love, peace, and abundance and sharing it with others.

Bud’s unique way of expressing The Course led him to write his first book entitled A Course in Miracles in a Nutshell and was self-published in 1996. The book was distributed to metaphysical stores selling approximately 4,000 copies. Recently, the Nutshell was re-designed and re-published with a new cover and additional material. He now also has two more books published:
A Course in Miracles in a Nutshell - Book Two: Inspirational Messages from the Heart and A Course in Miracles in a Nutshell - Book Three: More Inspirational Messages from the Heart

These two volumes are Bud's realization of the wisdom and illumination he has received from The Course. Each volume consists of short inspirational articles and every article is followed by quotes from the Course with more than 200 quotes in each book.

A Course in Miracles in a Nutshell Book One contains over 300 quotes from A Course in Miracles, as well as commentary on the quotes. It is designed for the beginning student of The Course, bringing with it an understanding of how to study The Course. It also gives an “experienced” student a source of inspiration and a glimpse at what the Course has to say on many subjects.

Bud was born in Indiana and was raised in Florida, where Bud attended high school. He subsequently went to Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. where he majored in mathematics with a minor in education. Upon graduation, he taught mathematics in a junior high school in Jackson, MS. for seven years and in New Orleans, LA for two years.

He was not happy with the life of a teacher and so began working in the office of a major trucking company which was not too unusual since he had been working part-time in trucking companies while teaching, in an attempt to achieve a satisfactory income. He worked for ten years at the trucking company before moving to Indiana, where he decided to attend Ball State University in Muncie from which he received his Master's Degree in Computer Science. Afterwards he moved to California. Soon he was on the payroll of Hughes Aircraft, and later he moved to McDonnell Douglas-Boeing, where he worked for twenty years before retiring.

As his first retirement activity, Bud and his wife Peg spent three full years traveling the country in their RV before finally settling back in Peg’s hometown of Dallas, TX.
